Topaz

Topaz was an amazing cat. He was my first pet and went through a lot with me. I got him from a pet shop in Beaverton, OR when he was 5 weeks old. He left at the age of 14. He loved to go for car rides, and would sit in the back window when we would go for a drive. He loved to catch birds, garden snakes, moles.. anything he could catch. He would walk “patrol” on the neighbors fences, make sure all was of the norm. He even lived a life of adventure. He traveled from Portland, OR to Houston, TX with me, and then back to Portland. He was boss and he let others know it. He was also a gentle love to adults and was very affectionate; He loved to head bunt me when I wasn’t paying attention and he wanted attention.
Topaz became sick very quickly and the best thing for him was to let him cross the rainbow bridge. It was a hard choice I had to make. It wasn’t about me though, I had to do what was right and fair for him.
I miss my kitty everyday. I have a void that will never be filled. He was my baby- my fur-baby.
He lived a good life and that gives me some peace in knowing he is no longer with me.
A donation was made in Topaz's memory and the memorial was created on December 12, 2016.
