Tommy Sakisat

Tommy passed today. He was 15 years young. He was from Parkrose, a lover and a fighter to the end. He was with his loved ones when he went.
Strong minded and set in his ways, he loved to protest…to just sit his butt in whatever walkway to let you know that he needed something.
He loved fresh rain water, cold milk and leftover chicken and developed a taste for salmon sushi in his later years. He was a Travel Buddy from the start with his love of the next grand adventure. He visited Mt. St. Helens in the Summer of ’16.
He loved his people. His Rob and his Wes most of all, who took such great care of him in his old age. He tolerated Greg and forgave him for being so loud. Manda used to snuggle him as a kitten and would always find the time to come pet him when she visited. Dad and Tommy would always be at odds because Tommy did whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted. And he always wanted Dad’s couch or blanket. Dad loved him though. We sometimes lovingly called him our “asshole cat” because he didn’t care what you thought.
Tommy knew when you were sad and he would come sit by you. Probably for the heat but I think he understood and was being a comfort. He was an amazing listener and friend. He was so very loved and will be missed.
I thanked him for choosing me when he put his paw up as I walked by his cage in Family Pet. It was an honor to be his Cat Mom.
A donation was made in Tommy Sakisat's memory and the memorial was created on June 18, 2019.
