10 years ago Ridley came to us at 8 weeks old with parvo. We were told he had a 50/50 chance of survival. We took the huge emotional and financial gamble on treatment and it worked! We had 10 years of amazing adventures, happy little moments and milestones with Ridley. He made us better; more patient, more mindful and silly. Walks with him the last few years were my favorite moments of the day. I’ll never forget his excitement when I’d grab his leash, the way he’d nose bump me while we walked or his full body waggles when he’d see another dog or people he loved. I will miss the ring of his bell (to go outside) and his big body snuggling up against our cat Lotus, on the couch. He was our little monkey who gave us this feeling of purpose. We’ve felt a little lost this past week without him. The house is just a little too quiet. However, the heartache we feel today is worth it. All of those memories and moments equate to a priceless time in our lives when Ridley gave us an amazing life and we returned the favor.
A donation was made in Sir Ridley's memory and the memorial was created on January 1, 2019.
