Sid

We adopted our beautiful Sid 5 years ago when we first moved to Portland. She burrowed herself very deep in our hearts in those five short years. She was 8 years old when we brought her home, but strong and brave and she owned our home (and the two humans in it). After only two years she acquired toxoplasmosis. We have no idea how this happened as she was an indoor cat and only ate good canned food, but it made it’s way into her nervous system and it was a steady decline. She continued to be the same brave Sid we new, but over three years and it became more and more difficult for her to walk. She did well on the medications for a long time, but eventually she couldn’t walk anymore.
She was with us for too short a time, but gave us so much. We will love her forever and I hope wherever she is now she is running and jumping after butterflies.
