Rhya

Rhya (AKC Pedigree name: ADAK’s Rhya, Spirit Huntress of the Abiqua) was our big baby girl, our best friend and a friend to everyone she met. Rhya was our second Alaskan Malamute. The first was only 3 years old when she passed so we looked long and hard for the perfect Malamute and then we found Rhya. She was born in Golden, Colorado and flown to us here in Oregon at 9 weeks old. She melted our hearts immediately. Since we had the perfect Malamute, now we had to find the perfect Veterinarian, which we did, Dr. Beth Nguyen at Woodburn Pet Hospital. We took Rhya in to Dr. Beth for her first examination as a puppy and I think both Rhya and Dr. Beth fell in love. Rhya loved to visit Dr. Beth until she started to get older and understand that going to the doctor wasn’t that much fun but she did enjoy visiting with everyone there. We lived with Rhya in the rural area of Silverton, Oregon and she loved to play, dig for moles, take a run with our 4-wheeler and visit with the local dogs. She loved to take walks and made sure everyone that passed her would stop to pet her and she always had a smile for them. Rhya was only 7 years, 11 months old and has left a huge hole in our hearts and is very much missed. Every day we look at the places that she slept, where she ate and laid around and we feel the loss of our best friend. We both look forward to the day we get to see her again and cross over the Rainbow Bridge. MOM AND DAD MISS YOU SO MUCH RHYA!
A donation was made in Rhya's memory and the memorial was created on January 27, 2021.
