Murphy

Our little rat terrier Murphy traveled over the rainbow bridge on 11/15/2020. He was 13 years old. He fought a great battle, as he was diagnosed with a protein losing enteropathy 3 years ago. We feel so grateful for the remission he was in and this last bout was not going to be turned around. It was so hard to say goodbye to him, he has touched our lives in so many ways…he loved chasing birds (that he never caught!), he was so loved by our family, including all of the grandkids, and he was so patient with them, even if they pulled on his ears! He was the BOSS of every dog that lived here or came to visit. He had the heart of a lion, even though he was only 11 lbs. He was a very loved dog, and was my constant companion, coming to work with me every day at Woodburn Pet Hospital, where I am the practice manager. A huge thank you and hug to our veterinarian daughter Dr. Beth Nguyen (OSU graduate!) for coming to our home and easing Murphy’s burden. We love you Beth, and know it was just as hard on you to say goodbye to Murphy.
Rest easy Murphy, you were the best dog ever.
A donation was made in Murphy's memory and the memorial was created on December 11, 2020.
