Hiking pal, neighborhood ambassador, party host, fearless nighttime explorer, my boon companion.
In his short life, Mr. Peanut captured hearts wherever he went.
He survived a rough start as the runt of a rescued litter, due to the excellent care from his foster mom Shirley.
He grew into a busy explorer and hunter. Lacking a human voice, he made his requests known by pushing things off tables. No glass of liquid was safe.
Out and about in the neighborhood, he found every open door, enlarging his kingdom by annexing one household after another.
In Port Orford , he walked the cliffs and along the beach with me. After dark, we walked for hours under skies filled with stars.
Now he has succumbed to kidney failure of unknown cause.
Happy hunting, dear fuzzy friend.
A donation was made in Mr. Peanut's memory and the memorial was created on May 14, 2021.
