Morgan

My dog and I were meant to be together. I used to take her mom on hikes in Girdwood, AK and when she had a second litter of pups, I knew it was time to get my own pup. My friend knew which puppy I would pick, and of course she was the only one with blue eyes. I continued taking Tara(mom) on hikes and brought my new pup along. Morgan hung out with a wolf dog as well and she formed cool bonds with her mom and the wolf! She and her mom would play really rough together tromping in the AK snow! After awesome road trips and hikes in AK my dog became a Colorado mountain dog. Wow, the miles we covered hiking the trails of Steamboat and Colorado; rafting the Yampa River and Colorado; road trips to national parks and national forests; camping out & sleeping in my tent; throwing the stick in the river and ponds; throwing the chuck it and trying to get the ball back; and just hanging out. My dog loved the outdoors and was a shedding fool. She went on her own morning walks for 10 years before I went to work and was patiently waiting for my return every night. After 11 years in the Boat my dog made it back to Portland to live and enjoy the parks, gorge and PNW. We had lived here one summer in 2003! My dog chilled out front and so many people enjoyed seeing her. The compliments my dog got over the years- what a beautiful dog you have; what kind of dog is that; is she a wolf? I was so proud to be Morgan’s mom. She had a lot of nicknames that were so appropriate for her. What a wanderer, who at crap, barked a lot as she got older; came home with this injury or that; had a lot of neighbor friends; begged from others; liked to roam around late night; saw luggage and skis/sb and knew she was getting ditched; and who didn’t like getting a bath! My gorgeous companion, you are always in my heart. She was always by my side on the trails, sidewalks, and in my car. Her dog hair still is! She took a ferry once, a plane ride and gondola rides. She was a true adventurer like I am, and was one week shy of 15 years old!
