Moose

Moose came to our family in 2017. We were beyond excited to have another dog in our home. Moose was an energetic puppy as most Labrador Retrievers are. Unfortunately, at 15 months old he presented with his first seizure. We were optimistic that it was a fluke and he would continue growing into a healthy adult dog. Sadly, we were wrong. He was diagnosed with Ideopathic Epilepsy a short time later. We were willing to take on a medication routine that consumed our lives. Our world revolved around administering him his medication 4 times a day. Other than his epilepsy, he was an amazing dog who loved carrots, bell peppers, being a lap dog, riding in the car, water, playing fetch, kisses and so much more. After 5 years, his body could no longer tolerate the seizures. In a matter of 36 hours, he succumbed to a cluster of seizures that couldn’t be controlled with intensive medical intervention. We tried. They tried. It just wasn’t enough. Our family made the difficult decision to let him go. We said goodbye to our beloved Moose, in March 2023.
A donation was made in Moose's memory and the memorial was created on April 18, 2023.
