Lucky moved with me to Portland from Miami, Florida in May of 2007. She has been with me since 1997. She was abandoned by her previous owner. We found her on the side of the highway. We named her Lucky because she was very lucky to have survived her previous owner ditching her on the side of the highway. However, within a very short time of being my companion, I realized that I was the lucky one to have Lucky in my life. She has been with me ever since…through thick and thin.

Lucky has been the most affectionate cat I have had. I had 4. She is very much a lap cat. She was never shy with people. She would always come down to see who was visiting, and was always friendly with them.

Lucky lived to be 19 years. Toward the last six months of her life, she struggled with health issues, from loss of hearing to arthritis to ultimately, kidney failure. Even up until her last days, she brought us nothing but joy. There are many more pictures that could be posted on here, but this was one was one year before she passed. She is sorely missed, and will always be greatly missed, and in our hearts, forever.

A donation was made in Lucky's memory and the memorial was created on November 14, 2016.
