Louis

Louis was adopted by the Van Dyke family in August of 2008. He was a spunky, chatty 3 month old papillon who fit right in and became a beloved member of the Van Dyke family immediately. Louis never truly believed he was a dog, he was absolutely convinced that he was, in fact, human. He loved to go for walks, loved peanut butter, ice cubes, licking our ice cream bowls and especially dad’s homemade summer sausage. He was the best snuggle buddy ever. Anytime anyone came over, Louis was sure it was for the sole purpose of getting him a treat so he would push them towards his treat jar every time. He had the dreamiest of eyes that looked right into your soul. He sure kept mom company while she’s been working from home. He loved to be sung to and would fall asleep every time. He loved all humans great and small and did not care for other dogs as he himself was definitely NOT one of them. Louis now rests under our dogwood tree in the backyard and will forever be in our hearts and memories. He is so greatly missed and can never be replaced. We love you Lou Lou, Lewis, Buggles, Doop Doop, Louis Scooby Dooey, Bubbas, are hearts are absolutely broken and our home is not the same without you in it!!!

A donation was made in Louis's memory and the memorial was created on September 2, 2020.
