Katya

Katya was a very special cat. When adopted, she had resided for an incredible eight months in a shelter, having been discovered abandoned and pregnant along the side of a road. She spent the rest of her 17 years as the much-loved companion for a non-fiction author, whom she assisted with research projects. One way she did so was to exert editorial power by pulling Post-its from the pages of books, where they had served as bookmarks. Another disconcerting habit was to perch on the edge of the bathtub wherein the author was trying to study. She will be sorely missed.

A donation was made in Katya's memory and the memorial was created on October 1, 2017.
