Josie

Josie was one of a litter of 5 kittens that we fostered through the Humane Society. Her litter was found in a box on a busy street corner. I fell in love with Josie immediately and even though we weren’t planning on adding to our fur family yet, we had to keep her. Josie was beautiful inside and out. She was curious and always interested in new people and things. Josie had a gentleness and girliness about her that was just endearing. She liked to help my husband Randy work and was always lying on his laptop or desk. Randy had to set up a “decoy” laptop to keep her away from the work one. Josie loved to be combed and Randy could lay her on her back and comb her tummy fur. Josie loved snuggling under blankets in bed at night. She had the best purr in the world and it would just burst out when you picked her up. We got an RV last year and Josie had been going on camping trips with us. She loved looking out the window or going in the outdoor shelter. Although Josie was 16, her swift decline was unexpected. Our hearts are broken to lose our sweet baby girl. We have been through other kitty family member deaths, but losing Josie is the most devastating. Someone said that angels were lining up to hold her, and I think that is true. I hope Josie can feel the love we are still sending her. We think about her many times a day and tears are never far away. She will be forever in our hearts.
A donation was made in Josie's memory and the memorial was created on August 22, 2018.
