Jack

We’ll never have another dog after Jack – the bar is just too high. He was intelligent beyond belief, even eavesdropping on phone conversations and understanding them. He was an outstanding companion to my dad, who had dementia, for four years. My dad would take him out 20 times a day, and Jack learned to squat without “going”, and look over his shoulder until my dad told him “OK”. He fully understood that my dad was his personal responsibility, and improved his quality of life immensely.
Jack introduced me to my husband and was an hourly part of our lives. He went to work with me every day, and was the best office dog, dispensing sympathy and a chin on the knee to anyone under extra stress. He was the perfect dog in the car, always staying on the floor. I could leave an open roasted chicken on the seat, and he would never touch it. Miss him every day.
It was awful to lose him at 9 years old, but we thank Parkway Animal Clinic, especially Dr. Rott, for their kind and compassionate care.
A donation was made in Jack's memory and the memorial was created on October 28, 2019.
