Ivy

A visitor to a Staffordshire Terrier rescue, and a gaggle of puppies came running out, one particularly spirited puppy stood out mainly by a super cute belly flop into a patch of Ivy, she came home with us with the perfect name.
Raised with three children she was patient, and would leave the room if ever she had enough. Never a growl directed towards any family members through directed at many “very scary” small white dogs and empty wrapping paper tubes. Ivy was our kid’s number one girl. She also served to break many of the stereotypes that our friends and family had regarding her breed.
Diagnosed with Cancer she was given three months to live. Almost two years the tumor had overtaken her leg bone and we had to make the difficult decision to put her down before the leg broke and she was overcome with pain.
We are so grateful to the staff at Cascade Animal Clinic for the above and beyond gestures after Ivy’s passing, they have earned a lifetime customer in the Lister family.
A donation was made in Ivy's memory and the memorial was created on July 11, 2017.
