Harry

In our eyes Harry always was “just a baby”. Playful, loving, always alert in true Spinone fashion to any subtle changes, Harry graced our lives for almost eleven years. Spittle pots on the walls and furniture remind us of another Spinone characteristic, one, despite an occasional curse, we would never trade. Every moment is filled with anticipation of Harry sitting next to a chair, waiting to be petted, or Harry patiently waiting for a cheese treat while respecting the unofficial borders of the kitchen.
Multiple training classes and field trips never triumphed over Harry’s desire to forge ahead on a walk, to uncover and discover what was in front of us. Returning home was always calm because he knew that treats awaited. Harry never overcame his dislike of having his beard dried after partaking of the water bowl, and being dried off after a rain shower was near torture, except that he would be rubbed at the same time.
We realize that “our” Harry is also the Harry of everyone else. The tears and memories flow.
A donation was made in Harry's memory and the memorial was created on October 6, 2017.
