Gracie

My son David said, “Close your eyes. I have a present for you.” When I opened my eyes, there she was in my hands. Tiny kitten, maybe 4-5 weeks old, gray and white. David said, “Let’s call her Gracie for gray cat.” That was 17 years ago. He was the last one to join our pack of four cats and one dog. Gracie made six. A year later we had to move to Eugene to a very small house. We were happy there and Gracie decided that David was her person. Over the years, whenever David moved to a new place, Gracie went with him. And over the years, one by one, each member of our pack left us until Gracie was the last one. And now she is gone. To David, her dad, she was Boobie and Boobish. To me she was Princess Fluffy Pants and Catherine the Great. Rest in Peace, dearest Gracie.
A donation was made in Gracie's memory and the memorial was created on September 23, 2021.
