Douglas

Douglas was truly the best dog ever. He came into our lives as a puppy and grew up with our family. He arrived as a January 2nd present from Santa, complete with a big red bow. He was a best friend to all who knew him. Douglas was in the middle of every sleep over with the kids. He, literally, has been in the middle of so many kids and blankets. Douglas had no idea that he was 130 pounds and was the ultimate lap dog. Douglas was also a complete tourist attraction all on his own. He traveled with us all over the Northwest. In many of our scenic locations, we would be stopped for extended periods of time with tourists asking to pose with him in these picturesque locations. His memory is spread all over the world and he has been loved by 1,000’s. He was an ambassador to the breed and to the Northwest.
In his 10 1/2 years he watched his family grow up. He protected them, slept in their beds, in tents and hotel rooms, and was loved deeply. Words cannot express what he meant to us all. His spirit lives on with us always.
A donation was made in Douglas's memory and the memorial was created on April 29, 2018.
