Bumper

Bumper was an extraordinarily sweet cat – with a deep love of pets, belly rubs, and snuggling. She had a purr that started the instant you touched her, a hoarse meow (that often sounded like ‘ham’) and a cute frump sound that she made when she needed attention. She was adorably clumsy and curious. She enjoyed tissue paper, boxes, snuggle bug toys and chasing grasshoppers. She spent hours observing birds, squirrels, the trees and the sky out the window from her bed on my desk, or from under a bush in the yard. She was beautiful with silky black fur, three bright white diamonds running from her chin to her belly, cute white paws and long white whiskers. Bumper was rarely far from my side and brought a smile to my face every day. She was a truly awesome cat.
Bumper was adopted from the humane society at the age of four months – charming with her playful spirit and easy purr. She lived with asthma, taking her daily inhaler like a champ. Heartbreakingly, she died of cancer in her lungs a few months before she turned 13.
A donation was made in Bumper's memory and the memorial was created on August 22, 2016.
