Buff Boy

Buff Boy was a stray that picked our Port Warwick home in Newport News, VA to hang around in 2008. After months of feeding and gentle coaxing he finally let us pet him. He spent the next year or so living outdoors and enjoying his little heated house that we provided. One-day, Buff decided he would join us inside, trotted in and made himself at home. He became an indoor/outdoor cat.

In 2013 he made the cross-country journey to Oregon in the back of our Prius with our 3 other cats. Upon arriving in Oregon, he must have sensed that he was no longer in his familiar neighborhood and never asked to go a out again.

Buff continued to overcome his stray past even allowing others to pet him. In the last year of his life he decided he would join us in the bed at night. His transformation to a place of trust over the years was heartwarming to us. He loved to eat and his Buff Boy brushings. He was the Buffest Boy in Town!

A donation was made in Buff Boy's memory and the memorial was created on October 3, 2017.
