Buddy

Buddy was a rescue boxer from California. He had been neglected but was such a sweet dog. He hardly ever barked. He minded his manners and was a joy to walk. I fell in love with him right away and he really was my buddy. We only had him 2 years. He really was one of the best dogs I could have wished for. He had been having intermittent seizures over the last 6 months, which I discussed with the vet. Because they were so random and far apart he said it wasn’t worth medicating him for them. We had just brought him to an eye specialist to help heal one of his eyes and she noticed a tumor under the skin on his snout. We had taken him in to have an x-ray and see what’s going on but the vet ran out of time so we planned on taking him back the next day. Sadly, that evening, after we arrived home and fed him he had a bad seizure and died. I was so shocked I didn’t know what to do and in hind sight wish I’d had the presence of mind to try compressing his chest. We are so sad without him! He was the best dog!
A donation was made in Buddy's memory and the memorial was created on August 6, 2019.
