Bubbles

I wish I had more space to share all of the wonders that were Bubbles. Bubbles was more than just a fish. He was a member of the family. And while he may not have been the the sexiest Beta out there [as far as I know he never got his swerve on] Bubble always remained ready for a good old fashion turf war. I’ll never forget the many happy hours he spent getting all puffed up battling himself in a mirror. Bubbles loved travel. He survived many road trips. Even one that took him all of the way across the country. He also survived taking a tumble down several concrete steps and hanging out on the sidewalk. I swear he was laughing at me. Ok maybe he was just smiling. In either case it was an unscripted moment that helped us bond in a way that few fish parents bond with their fish! Bubbles lived a very very very long and happy life. We all miss him to this day. Well, not enough to get another beta. In fact not enough to get another fish at all. Still if I had it to do all over again I’d skip falling down the steps. Bubbles would thank me and so would my knees!!! Hmmm—I guess I had enough space after all.
