Brutus

Brutus at about 12 weeks old was abandoned in a Walmart parking lot in January 2009. After weeks of thinking his owners would call to claim him no one did. What a blessing for our family as Brutus became a wonderful addition. I never knew what wonderful dogs dachshunds are. Brutus always wanted to be at someone’s side. He loved to snuggle and was a great companion to my daughter Elizabeth. When she went away to school Brutus became companion to my late husband Bill. Then for the last 6 1/2 years he was my companion and always at my side. We did everything together. He loved to ride in the car and couldn’t wait to go on road trips. His favorite food was cheese. He always knew when a package was open and quick to be at your feet waiting for a piece. We were so blessed to have Brutus for 12 1/2 years but it definitely was too short. Brutus will always live on in my heart.
