Bling

Ten-year old Bling became part of the family after the passing of my two other Cavaliers. She truly rescued me from the grief and sorrow of their passing. Friends kidded me that finally I had some bling in my house! Despite heart problems and eventually pulmonary hypertension, she was a super trooper to the end. I shall always remember how she danced around the kitchen while I was preparing her meals. She wasn’t fond of walking and would slowly amble along until I said it was time to head home, then she kicked into high gear and we both trotted the rest of the way home. Later on when we had to use a stroller for our walks, she sat upright in it looking around like a queen surveying her world. While I only had her 2 1/2 years, she left an indelible mark on my memory.
